In this lesson we used our imaginations when listening to a song. We had to close our eyes and imagine what visuals would match the song thinking about the type of music it was and the lyrics that are in the song.
When i listened to the song i clocked that the genre leaned towards country which sparked alot of ideas in my head. I imagined a band playing in a town hall on a stage, I could see someone using an egg shaker in the beginning, with a few people watching and as the song progresses people get up and start dancing. I also thought that diegetic laughing and talking could be added in the background while this part happened.When the electric guitar with distortion comes in i imagine the band playing on a bigger stage with lots of people watching, possibly on the top of a hill in like a festival environment.
In the first verse the lyrics are about a person, this person could possibly have a narrative for the rest of the video. I imagined this person "Climbing up Solsbury Hill" on an evening and and looking out at all of the lights across the town. Another part to this narrative played on the lyrics "Come on son, i'll take you home" where i imagined a shot of a father and son in a car going through country lanes with lots of fields around them heading home.
